This fixed my problem, it might not be a general solution, because Vista is so "unique" but it might help some, so posting this is worth it I hope. Have 2 laptops getting unidentified Network Local Access Only on Windows Vista Home Basic. One is a Toshiba and the other is a Dell. I can use the Ethernet on the Toshiba at one of The Fire Dept. I work at. (As of lastweek, haven't checked since.) At the other Station I can't. Get the Unidentified Network Local Access Only.
